Our Services…

At Altenburg Studio we do all types of portraits for both personal and business use including couples, children, pets, families, maternity, bridal, boudoir, pin-up, professional headshots and business groups.

We also offer event coverage of weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthdays, baptisms, anniversaries, first communions, conventions, corporate parties and events.  

We do photography in our studio, in our portrait garden, your home, office or at a location of your choice. There are some great locations around the Vegas valley that we use frequently such as Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston and Floyd Lamb State Park. We also travel to Laguna Beach, California each summer for beach portrait sessions.

Portrait Session Fees…

At Altenburg Studio we don’t charge any session fees. Instead we have a minimum purchase requirement that goes 100% towards your portrait purchase. For portrait sessions in our studio or in our portrait garden it’s a $200 min. purchase. For on-location portrait sessions (within a 30 miles radius of our studio) it’s a $300 min. purchase. Locations farther than 30 miles and beach sessions require an additional travel fee.

Your session minimum is paid when you reserve your appointment time. Changes or cancellations in your session time or day may result in loss of all of part of that retainer.

Business Portraits and Corporate Events…

We offer studio headshot packages for business cards, web site and advertising use starting at $95.00. Images will be viewed immediately following your session for quicker turnaround. Finished, retouched images can be emailed or provided on CD.

On-location business portraits, convention and corporate event coverages are determined by quote and based on time and services required.

Planning Your Portraits…

Time and time again I hear that our portraits look more like a work of art than a “regular picture”. That put-together look in our portraits comes from quality lighting, posing and careful pre-planning and coordination of clothing and backgrounds.

To that end we offer a complimentary portrait planning session at our studio. We’ll show you samples of the variety of photographic styles that are available and help you choose your favorite looks. Whether it’s a classic or contemporary, formal or casual look that you choose, we’ll give you tips on choosing clothing that will compliment your figure and backgrounds and props that will enhance your finished portrait.

Selecting your Portraits…

Within a week following your session we’ll view your portrait images together in our studio. We project the images so that you will be able to see all the fine details, make your selections and determine the appropriate size for your decorating and gift-giving needs. We allow 1-2 hours for this viewing so you won’t feel rushed.

For our out of town clients we can schedule your viewing immediately following your portrait session.

For an additional fee your favorite images can be posted to a personal website after your initial portrait viewing session. For privacy reasons we do not post our boudoir or pin-up images online.

Portrait Print Pricing…

Our portrait prices depend on the size, finish and quantity ordered per image.

Since our portraits are all personally finished you have many options in terms of retouching, mounting and overall style. You can opt for a more natural look or a completely retouched and enhanced image. You can choose an artistic, soft look or the sharp, crisp look depending on your personal taste. We offer portraits mounted on canvas-stretcher frames for a painterly look, modern gallery-wrapped canvases or simple un-mounted portrait prints. Ask for the appropriate price list for portraits, high school seniors, boudoir, business or event for a full price breakdown.

Hair & Makeup Styling…

We are proud to offer professional makeup and hair styling for your portrait session by Amelia Cline. Amelia, a licensed cosmetologist is experienced in all types of makeup for photography. Whether for a business portrait, high school senior, bridal, or boudoir portrait, professional makeup enhances your best features and minimizes imperfections. Regular street makeup can change color, wash out or reflect under studio lighting. Professional makeup and hair styling gives a polished look for your portrait. Prices for hair and makeup are by quote depending on the services required.
